Notebook and Fountain Pen

An Idea is Born

A woman contacted me after finding out I was a calligraphy artist. She said, "I've watched soooo many YouTube videos, and I still can't quite get it." We met up, and after a few pointers and adjustments, she was well on her way!

That's when I realized there are some skills that need in-person, hands-on teaching. Sure, you could learn from a book, but a skilled teacher can help you master calligraphy ten times faster.

Vision

My goal is to see you become a successful calligrapher, which is why I keep my class sizes small. I also provide the proper calligraphy pen and in-depth workbook, so you don't have to worry about arriving unprepared.

Come with all your fanciful expectations and a determination to work through the awkward stage, and I'll do the rest.

I am 100% confident you can become a successful calligrapher!

The Scribe

My name is Desiree. I was born with an artistic bent, and would draw elaborate book report covers for school. When we became a computer family (1990's), Dad tried to convince me that the computer could do a better job. I wasn't convinced.

After years of playing with calligraphy and mastering different fonts, I'm more in love with hand crafted lettering than ever before.

There is something right and good about taking ink to paper. There is an ethereal wholeness to it.
